The VJD-1 Vacuum Jar Desiccator is an optional accessory for vacuum pump systems with up to 28" Hg of suction. It is engineered to efficiently remove moisture and humidity from hearing instruments, helping restore reliable performance.
Moisture buildup inside hearing aids can lead to intermittent operation or unexpected signal dropouts. By placing the instrument inside the VJD-1 desiccator chamber and applying vacuum pressure, trapped moisture is safely extracted—often resolving these common issues.
How It Works
As the vacuum pump evacuates air from the chamber, it simultaneously draws air from within the hearing instrument itself. This process removes moist internal air, allowing affected components to dry thoroughly and, in many cases, restoring normal functionality.
Design & Compatibility
The VJD-1 connects easily to most vacuum pump systems via a slip-luer fitting. Its standalone design allows it to be stored separately from the pump and connected quickly whenever moisture removal is needed.
Performance Note
Effectiveness increases with higher vacuum levels. The more air removed from the chamber, the more efficiently moisture is extracted. For optimal results, use the highest vacuum level available—not to exceed 28" Hg, the maximum recommended suction for this unit.

If you are not satisfied with the goods and inform us within 7 days of your receipt of the goods, we will arrange to collect them (the whole order) and give a full refund (minus shipping costs). Or we will exchange items if they are faulty on delivery to you and we are notified within 10 days of the customers receipt of the product. All products to be returned must be carefully repackaged in their original packing.
